- Recognize physical examination findings that suggest an atrial septal defect (ASD).
- Identify the different types of ASD.
- Interpret noninvasive imaging of ASD and apply the information learned from such testing toward formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Recognize indications for ASD closure.
