Program Description & Educational Objectives

This activity addresses the question of transitioning patients with type 2 diabetes from initial monotherapy to a multimodal therapeutic approach.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Discuss and describe the key therapeutic components of a multimodal approach to the management of type 2 diabetes that addresses both the reduction of plasma glucose concentrations as well as the pathological defects associated with this disease

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians.

Requirements for Successful Completion

In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
