Activity Description and Educational Objectives

In this activity, two leading experts in rheumatology, as well as a patient with rheumatoid arthritis, discuss the evidence-based patient-centered management of this disease.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Recognize the significant unmet medical needs in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
  • Discuss novel treatments for RA in terms of efficacy and safety, with consideration of patients and clinical scenarios likely to derive benefit from such therapeutic modalities
  • Integrate evidence-based recommendations, clinical trial data, real-world evidence, and patient preference into the therapeutic decision-making process for RA
  • Employ strategies to treat RA to target in individual patients based on optimal selection and utilization of therapy

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of rheumatologists and other healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Requirements for Successful Completion

In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. A score of 70% or higher is needed to obtain CME/MOC credit. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME/MOC credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
