Program Description & Educational Objectives

In this activity, an expert in infectious diseases discusses the diagnosis and management of invasive fungal infections.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify risk factors for invasive fungal infections and select appropriate methods for establishing early diagnosis
  • Apply evidence-based guidelines for the management of candidemia and invasive candidiasis to clinical practice
  • Select prophylaxis regimens against invasive fungal infections for high-risk patient populations based on recent clinical evidence

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of US-based infectious disease specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinicians involved in the management of patients with invasive fungal infections.

Requirements for Successful Completion

In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME/CNE/CPE credit.
