Program Description & Educational Objectives
In this activity, an expert in urology discusses the recognition and treatment of overactive bladder in the primary care setting.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of OAB or neurogenic bladder disorders in patients who present with LUTS
- Appraise the efficacy of pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions for patients with OAB or neurogenic bladder disorder
- Incorporate a strong alliance with a urologist into clinical practice in order to optimize the management of patients with OAB or neurogenic bladder disorder
- Educate patients with OAB or neurogenic bladder disorder and their caregivers about lifestyle modifications and behavior therapy in order to improve patient outcomes
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians, OB/GYNs, urologists, and other clinicians involved in managing patients with overactive bladder.
Requirements for Successful Completion
In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
