After completing this case the reader should be able to:
1. Recognize symptoms related to polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
2. Diagnose PCOS based on the proposed criteria.
3. Appropriately select PCOS therapy according to guidelines from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and American College of Endocrinology.
4. Counsel patient with PCOS about increased cardiovascular, metabolic, and endometrial cancer risks.
