Program Description & Educational Objectives

In this activity, a urologist and two primary care physicians discuss the recognition and treatment of overactive bladder in the primary care setting.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Effectively use screening tools and clinical evaluation methods to diagnose OAB in men and women who present with lower urinary tract symptoms
  • Incorporate pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions into treatment plans to improve outcomes for men and women with OAB
  • Educate patients with OAB and their caregivers about lifestyle modifications and behavioral therapy to improve patient outcomes

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians, OB/GYNs, urologists, and other clinicians involved in managing patients with overactive bladder.

Requirements for Successful Completion

In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. A score of at least 70% is required on the post-test in order to receive a Statement of Credit.There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
