Course Description

At the completion of this online course, the learner will be able to:
- Translate emerging clinical science to clinical practice in patients with cardiovascular disease and stroke.
- Evaluate and implement new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for treating cardiovascular disorders and stroke.
- Demonstrate an understanding of newly developed concepts in the care of patients with common cardiovascular problems including atrial fibrillation, hypertension, heart failure, and dyslipidemia.
- Describe treatment strategies for cardiovascular problems that can be deployed in the outpatient setting and keep patients out of the hospital.
- Describe treatment strategies for cardiovascular problems in the setting of common comorbidities.
- Describe the relative merits of new therapies for cardiovascular problems with respect to efficacy and cost.
