Activity Description and Educational Objectives

In this activity, an ophthalmology expert utilizes case-based storytelling to guide learners through the identification and treatment of patients with glaucoma in the context of current evidence.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
  • Apply evidence-based strategies to diagnose glaucoma in clinical practice
  • Identify pharmacologic treatments for glaucoma in terms of mechanism of action, efficacy, and safety
  • Employ pharmacologic treatment for glaucoma based on individual patient profile, taking into account factors such as disease severity, comorbidities, co-medications, potential tolerability issues, patient preference, and lifestyle

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of ophthalmologists, primary care physicians, and other clinicians involved in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.

Requirements for Successful Completion

In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. A score of 70% or higher is needed to obtain CME credit. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
