Activity Description & Educational Objectives

This activity, which is based on a recent symposium held at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC 2017), is designed to improve your knowledge and skill in the management of individuals with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. Our expert panel combines key clinical concepts and data on approved disease-modifying therapies with personal stories of patients in their care to illuminate how they’ve empowered these individuals to actively participate in treatment decisions throughout the course of their disease.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Apply key data sets on the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of approved disease-modifying therapies when managing patients with multiple sclerosis
  • Counsel patients with multiple sclerosis about potential adverse effects and established strategies designed to mitigate potential risks associated with approved disease-modifying therapies
  • Employ shared decision-making strategies to promote patient participation in treatment decisions and engagement in care

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of neurologists, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, nurses, and other clinicians involved in the management of patients with multiple sclerosis.
