Course Description

Presentation Objectives
1. Describe critical criteria for episodic and chronic migraine, and apply these criteria to diagnosis of patients.
2. Discuss the PREEMPT protocol, with tips on how to use it clinically in the injection of onabotulinumtoxinA for chronic migraine in the FDA-approved injection paradigm.
3. Review the strategy for proceeding in the treatment of chronic migraine and medication overuse headache maximizing clinical benefit with a combination of wean of overused medications and use of evidence-based neurotoxin therapy.
