- predict the current prevailing estimate of the rate of postesophagectomy hiatal hernia at ~ 3 years.
- classify the rate of postoperative routine screening CT-scan-postesophagectomy hiatal hernia.
- indicate the rate of symptoms to be expected in patients in screening CT-scan-postesophagectomy hiatal hernia.
- identify the median time of hiatal hernia occurring after the esophagectomy.
- demonstrate an understanding of the medical and surgical management outcomes.
