Course Description

After completing the activity, the learner will be better able to:

- Identify electrocardiographic patterns in apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy so that appropriate guideline-recommended diagnostic testing can be utilized.
- Demonstrate appropriate use of various imaging modalities (echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, ventriculography) in evaluation of apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy to improve cost-effectiveness and diagnostic accuracy based on guideline recommendations.
- Identify high-risk clinical and imaging features of apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy so that they can appropriately risk stratify these patients to anticipate and/or reduce the associated morbidity/mortality and discuss these risks with their patients.
