Course Description

After reading this article, the learner should be able to:
• recognize the type of cavopulmonary connection that was primarily used in this study
• learn the incidence of fenestration use in this study
• understand that functionally single ventricles can be difficult to characterize and learn how the authors characterized ambiguous ventricles for the purpose of analysis
• recognize that the authors analyzed their results on the basis of ventricular and valve anatomy and appreciate the differential survival of each group
• learn the type of atrioventricular valve repair that was principally used in this study
• learn the outcomes of valve repair referable to the various anatomic substrates
