Upon completion of the article by Maddison et al, the participant should be able to:

- State approximately what percentage of patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) had Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) in this study
- Briefly describe the most common order in this study in which the diagnoses of SCLC, LEMS, and/or another paraneoplastic disorder were made
- Discuss which clinical factors in this study were significantly associated with longer survival than with SCLC alone
