Objectives:
1. Describe the common etiologies of acute liver failure.
2. Identify the three major complications that lead to mortality in acute liver failure.
3. Review different strategies for treating patients with cerebral edema.
4. Understand the common organs involved with development of multiorgan dysfunction.
5. Describe common pathogens implicated in sepsis related to acute liver failure.
