Program Description & Educational Objectives

In this activity, experts in the management of non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) utilize a clinical case scenario to discuss practical aspects of the use of tumor histology and mutational analysis as guides for treatment selection in the front-line, maintenance, and second-line therapy settings and beyond. Recent data on available and emerging therapies for the treatment of NSCLC are also reviewed.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Select appropriate personalized front-line therapy for a patient with advanced NSCLC based on the results of pathologic and molecular testing
  • Identify clinical settings appropriate for maintenance therapy in metastatic NSCLC, and appropriately administer validated maintenance strategies for eligible patients
  • Consider personalized therapy for a patient with advanced NSCLC who progresses after upfront treatment or for a pretreated individual who has failed more than one prior line of therapy

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists and other clinicians involved in the management of non–small-cell lung cancer.
