Upon completion of the article by Avery et al, the participant should be able to:

- Describe the association between changes on MRI and thinning of the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNLF) in patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1)
- Review the diagnostic/predictive characteristics of increased optic chiasm volume in terms of RNLF findings and clinical characteristics
- Discuss the association between visual acuity testing and imaging findings in patients with NF1
