Program Description & Educational Objectives

In this activity, experts in allergy and anaphylaxis discuss methods of optimizing the management of anaphylaxis in children and adults.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Recognize the risk factors for anaphylaxis
• Implement appropriate steps to confirm allergy triggers
• Incorporate various treatment options and long-term preventative measures available for anaphylaxis into clinical practice
• Promote proper autoinjection technique and counsel patients and caregivers about proper epinephrine administration

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians, pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, allergists/immunologists, and other clinicians involved in the management of patients with anaphylaxis.

Requirements for Successful Completion

In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME/CNE credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
