After completing this module, you should:
- Have a better understanding of how to manage symptoms such as constipation, nausea, vomiting, and breathlessness in patients with a terminal illness in a primary care setting
- Know the principles of pain management in palliative care
- Recognise and understand how to manage bowel obstruction
- Be confident in managing common palliative care emergencies
- Have a basic understanding of when to use syringe drivers to administer medications
- Know where to get further information on palliative care.
