Learning Objectives
1. Critically appraise the data regarding rates of infection in patients on biologic therapies.
2. Review the role of screening for hepatitis B infection and apply such knowledge prior to starting biologics.
3. Identify appropriate screening tools and apply testing for latent tuberculosis in the setting of biologic therapy.
4. Differentiate types of vaccines and review recommended vaccinations for patients receiving biologics.
