Activity Description and Educational Objectives

In this activity, an expert in asthma management discusses multidisciplinary strategies to maximize care for patients with uncontrolled, severe persistent asthma

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
  • Identify how delays in referral to specialists may impact the care of patients with severe asthma and their overall outcomes
  • Discuss the steps for optimal collaboration between primary care physicians (PCPs) and specialists from diagnosis through specialist referral for treatment of patients with severe asthma
  • Review novel therapies for the treatment of severe asthma and how clinical collaboration can optimize care with these agents

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of respirologists, pulmonologists, allergists, primary care physicians, and other clinicians involved in the treatment of asthma.
