Program Description & Educational Objectives

In this activity, an expert in NSCLC addresses 3 key questions submitted by US oncologists in response to a survey regarding the use of biomarkers in the management of NSCLC. The most frequently asked questions by survey participants included the use of biomarkers in day-to-day practice, when to conduct biomarker testing, and how to apply results of biomarker studies to treatment decisions.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

• Explain the role of tumor histology and biomarkers in the management of NSCLC
• Describe the optimal use of histology and biomarker assays in patients with NSCLC, including when and who to test
• Summarize the current best-practice options for management of NSCLC based on tumor histology and biomarker testing with the goal of improving patient outcomes

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of oncologists who manage patients with NSCLC.

Requirements for Successful Completion

In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
