Objectives
1. Recognize the prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) in hospitalized patients.
2. Understand the impact of SDB in different subsets of hospitalized patients, including medical patients, surgical patients, and patients who are pregnant.
3. Describe the risk of SDB in perioperative patients.
4. List the various approaches used to diagnose SDB in hospitalized patients.
5. List the treatment strategies needed for newly diagnosed SDB in hospitalized patients.
