Learning Objectives
1. Explain the historical origins of how and why spondyloarthritis was separated from Rheumatoid Arthritis.
2. Discuss inflammatory back pain and imaging tools to diagnose patients with spondyloarthritis.
3. Describe the prevalence of spondyloarthritis in the US and how that was determined.
4. Apply diagnostic and classification criteria in their daily practice using spondyloarthritis as an example.
5. Review how research efforts into genetic risk and environmental triggers inform us about the cause of spondyloarthritis.
