Course Description

After reading this article, the learner should be able to:
- identify the histological characterization of signet ring cell adenocarcinoma.
- identify the frequency of signet ring cell esophageal adenocarcinoma.
- identify the survival of signet ring cell esophageal adenocarcinoma in comparison to those patients who have esophageal adenocarcinoma without signet ring cell differentiation.
- identify that there appears to be a role for esophagectomy in the treatment of signet ring cell esophageal adenocarcinoma.
- identify how the signet ring cell adenocarcinoma subtype responds to neoadjuvant therapy.
