Program Description & Educational Objectives
In this activity, an expert in geriatric psychiatry addresses three key questions on the management of depression and/or anxiety in patients with dementia, management of treatment-related side effects, and treating psychosis and/or agitation in patients with dementia.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Describe treatment options for depression and/or anxiety in patients with dementia, including pharmacologic and behavioral approaches
- Summarize the recommended therapy for managing psychosis or agitation in geriatric patients with dementia
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of US-based neurologists, psychiatrists, geriatricians, and primary care physicians.
Requirements for Successful Completion
In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
