Program Description & Educational Objectives
In this activity, two experts in nephrology review and discuss data presented at the 2011 Spring Clinical Meetings of the National Kidney Foundation on the management of chronic kidney disease (CKD)-related anemia.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Apply key clinical data sets pertaining to available therapies for the treatment of anemia in patients with CKD
- Review and analyze late-breaking clinical data related to emerging therapies for the treatment of anemia in patients with CKD
- Consider recent data on potential strategies to overcome erythropoiesis-stimulating agent hyporesponsiveness in patients with CKD-related anemia
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nephrologists and other clinicians involved in the management of CKD-related anemia.
Requirements for Successful Completion
In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
